Merritt Shwedel has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Starting in 1998, they worked at J. Crew as a Technical Manager. In 2003, they moved to Express/Limited Brands as a Product Development Manager. From 2006 to 2008, they worked at Gap Inc./Banana Republic as a Director. In 2008, they joined Ariel Joseph Shwedel, Inc. as a Vice President. In 2009, they started working at Club Monaco, initially as a Vice President and later moving up to roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Vice President Design, Development & Production. In 2019, they joined Ralph Lauren as a Senior Vice President of their Asia Sourcing division. During their time at Ralph Lauren, they held various roles, including Vice President and Head of Global Raw Materials. Most recently, starting in 2023, they joined Spanx as the Chief Supply Chain & Operations Officer.
Merritt Shwedel obtained a High School Diploma from Cranbrook Schools in 1992. From 1992 to 1996, Shwedel attended Tufts University and earned a B.A. in International Relations & French. Later, from 2000 to 2002, Shwedel pursued an MBA degree specializing in Management & Marketing at NYU Stern School of Business.
