Pilar Puig Serra is an accomplished researcher currently serving as a PhD student at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) since November 2017, supported by an FPU Fellowship in the Molecular Cytogenetics and Genome Editing Unit under the guidance of Principal Investigator Sandra RodrÃguez Perales. Pilar Puig Serra has also worked as a research assistant and a master's thesis student in the same unit. Prior to CNIO, Pilar Puig Serra gained experience as a bachelor's thesis student at Centro de Investigación PrÃncipe Felipe (CIPF), interned at IIS LA FE - Medical Research Institute Hospital La Fe, and held a research fellow position at IMBA - Institute of Molecular Biotechnology in Vienna. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Molecular Biomedicine with a cancer specialization from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universitat Politècnica de València.
