Richard W. Caperton is a seasoned professional in public policy and regulatory affairs, currently serving as Vice President for Public Policy at SPAN since August 2024. Prior to this role, Richard held the position of Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Market Development at Arcadia from August 2018 to August 2024, and contributed to the academic field as an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Richard has extensive experience in managing national policy initiatives at Opower and leading strategic operations and clean energy advocacy at the Center for American Progress. With a strong background in government relations and venture capital, Richard also holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Politics from Pomona College.
