Sharan Nayak is a highly skilled software engineer currently employed at SpaceX, focusing on the Starlink system since October 2023. Previously, Sharan held positions as a Graduate Co-op and a Visiting Student Researcher at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, engaged in multi-robot exploration projects. Prior to that, Sharan worked as a Senior Professional Staff - Algorithm Developer at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where algorithm evaluation and audio player development were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes software engineering at Garmin International, specializing in marine multifunction displays, and an avionics internship at Sikorsky Aircraft. Sharan also contributed to environmental compliance efforts at Global Environmental Solutions, Inc. with a strong educational background, including a PhD and a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, alongside a Master's in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's in Electronics & Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
