Piotr Truszkowski has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Piotr started their career as a Backend Software Engineer at Grupa o2 in 2007, where they developed SMTP, MX, IMAP, and POP3 servers, as well as anti-spam solutions. Piotr also worked on developing a highly available adserver for managing display ad logic. Piotr then became a Team Lead at Grupa o2 in 2011, where they continued to develop replication and synchronization algorithms for distributed storage and worked on developing a NoSQL database for mailboxes metadata.
In 2014, Piotr joined Grupa Wirtualna Polska as a Team Lead - Backend Software Engineer. During their tenure, they contributed to the redesign of mailbox systems O2 and WP and developed microservices in Golang, C/C++, and Python. Piotr also played a crucial role in mentoring junior/mid developers, scheduling tasks for the team, and conducting technical recruitment interviews. Piotr later became a Tech Lead at Grupa Wirtualna Polska, where they designed and implemented a distributed storage system and automated deployments for microservices using Gitlab-CI and Kubernetes.
Currently, Piotr Truszkowski is employed as a Software Engineer at Spacelift, starting in 2023.
