Hans Erik Heggem

Principal Cofounder at Spacelab

Hans Erik Heggem has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Hans Erik co-founded Spacelab and Neate AS in 2022 and 2021 respectively, where they hold the position of Principal Cofounder. Hans Erik also worked as a Part Owner & Engineer at Eupnea AS since 2016. From 2017 to 2022, they served as a Systems Developer at DIPS AS.

Hans has significant experience in software and embedded system development. Hans Erik worked at Sensorlink AS from 2014 to 2017, where they held multiple roles including Software and Embedded System Developer. During their time there, they developed graphical user interface software, worked on embedded programming, and contributed to the development of file systems. Hans Erik also worked as a Software Developer, utilizing wxPython to communicate with the company's hardware.

Additionally, Hans had various roles at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), including Learning Assistant, Recruitment Representative, and Student Assistant. Hans Erik also worked as a Warehouse Employee at Otto Olsen AS and as a Cross-Country Skiing Instructor at Ã…rvoll skiklubb.

In 2013, Hans worked as a Project Manager at Wärtsilä, Hamworthy, where they managed a minor conversion project on a Gas Carrier vessel.

Throughout their career, Hans has gained expertise in project management, software development, and engineering.

Hans Erik Heggem has an educational background in cybernetics and robotics. Hans Erik obtained a Bachelor's degree in social economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2015. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Oslo Katedralskole, where they earned a degree in realfag in 2011. Hans Erik continued their studies at NTNU, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) in cybernetics and robotics in 2017. Additionally, Heggem had the opportunity to briefly study at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore in 2016, where they further pursued their interest in cybernetics and robotics.
