Karim Varela is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various high-profile companies. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Space Runners, Varela is developing an AI-powered fashion design tool. As a strategic advisor at The GUIDE App and Gather, Varela has guided executive teams on technology, product development, and growth strategies. Previous roles include Vice President of Engineering at Metalink, Director of Engineering at Reddit, and Chief Information Security Officer at FanAI Inc., where Varela implemented crucial security measures and led large engineering teams. Varela co-founded Safara, an online travel agency, and has held significant positions at Coffee Meets Bagel and Tinder, among others.
