Chance Norris has a diverse work experience in the field of research and data analysis. Chance is currently working as a Data Scientist III at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. since September 2022. Prior to this role, Chance worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, starting in August 2017 and continuing to the present as a Ph.D. candidate. Chance also worked as a Visiting Research Scholar at LRCS - Laboratoire de Réactivité et Chimie des Solides from September 2019 to January 2020, where they focused on a project related to lithium-ion battery electrodes, involving simulation development, electrochemistry, and structural mechanics. Chance also gained experience as a Year Round Graduate Intern at Sandia National Laboratories from May 2018 to October 2019, where they collaborated with groups aligned with their research interests in electrochemistry and microstructural analysis.
Chance Norris received their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University, which they completed from 2013 to 2017. Chance then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University from 2017 to 2022.
