The Engineering Team at Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) is responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving the company's electrical infrastructure. This includes ensuring the reliability and efficiency of over 5,000 miles of transmission lines and approximately 25,500 miles of distribution power lines that serve over 520,000 customers. They also work on projects to enhance the safety and sustainability of SWEPCO's electric services, addressing technical challenges and implementing innovative solutions to meet the growing energy demands of the 33,000-square mile service area.
