Barbara Bowen, CTSM Gold, has been serving as the Exhibits Manager at Southwest Research Institute since September 2005, where responsibilities include assisting scientists and engineers in developing goals for trade show marketing and training staff in booth staffing practices. Prior to this role, Barbara worked as an Editor at Harcourt Assessment from 2002 to 2005, managing and copyediting over one hundred annual test forms for a DOE contract. Earlier experience includes serving as a Graphics Assistant at Alamo Iron Works from 1999 to 2002, where tasks involved writing, designing, and laying out company newsletters and brochures, as well as assisting with trade shows. Barbara holds a Master of Arts in Communication from St. Mary's University (2006-2008) and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the same institution (1994-1998).
