Mark Brown is an experienced cybersecurity leader with a strong background in the financial services sector, currently serving as Chief Security Officer at South State Bank since June 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing information and physical security for a $45 billion institution. Previously, Mark held multiple leadership roles at CenterState Bank, including Chief Information Security Officer and Director of Security, managing security for a growing organization with over 100 locations. Early career experiences include serving as I.T. Manager and Information Security Officer at First National Bank of Polk County and as Program Manager for Computer Networking Technology and Business Administration at Polk State College. Mark holds a Master’s degree in Leadership, Management, and Organizational Development from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, with a focus on Psychology and Sociology, from the University of the State of New York.
