Darren Simmons has over 26 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry, currently serving as the Asset Integration and Handover Manager at Southern Water since June 1997. Darren has successfully built and led teams responsible for asset integration, ensuring efficient handover processes for over £1.8 billion in investment. Previous roles include Operational Area Manager for Wastewater Resources and Energy Production, where Darren managed compliance and performance across wastewater treatment centers, and various management positions with a focus on serviceability, contract management, and team leadership. Prior to Southern Water, Darren worked as an Electrical Apprentice and Electrician at Medbex Electrical Contractors Ltd, and received education at North West Kent Technical College and Aylesford Secondary School.
