Lizette Chevalier is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Freeport-McMoRan Chair in Environmental Modeling at the University of New Orleans, where they also serve as Dean of the Robert A. Savoie College of Engineering. Previously, they held the position of Associate Provost for Academic Programs at Southern Illinois University Carbondale from 2017 to 2022 and were a Professor in the same field there from 1995 to 2022. Additionally, Lizette was the Associate Dean of the College of Engineering at Southern Illinois University from 2010 to 2017 and is currently the Chair of the Engineering Accreditation Council at ABET. They are pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University and hold a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University.
