Floyd Davenport is a seasoned professional in the information technology sector, currently serving as the Assistant Vice President for Information Technology at Southeast Missouri State University since July 2016. Previously, Davenport held the position of CIO and Director of Information Systems & Services at Washburn University from January 2012 to July 2016, where leadership was provided in technology applications for academic and administrative functions. Earlier experience includes serving as the Information Technology Officer at Iowa State University Extension and as Assistant Director of Information Technology and Communication Services at the University of Illinois Extension. Davenport began the career in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Captain from 1983 to 1991. Academically, Davenport holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Southeast Missouri State University.
