Behavioral Health Care Manager at SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium

Danielle Alston, MMS, OPN-CG, has a diverse work experience spanning various healthcare and research roles. Danielle currently serves as a Behavioral Health Care Manager at SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) since January 2023. Prior to this, Danielle was a Member at AONN+ from April 2021 onwards.

From September 2020 to December 2022, Danielle worked at Florida Urology Partners, LLP, where they held multiple roles. As an Oncology Patient Navigator, they assisted patients in overcoming barriers to care, addressed financial concerns, and facilitated patient education. In addition, they served as an IOD Manager, responsible for managing an in-office dispensary of prostate cancer oncolytics, ensuring proper drug administration and patient assistance. Danielle also worked as a Research Coordinator and Medical Scribe during this time.

Danielle's previous experiences include being a DAT Member at the American Red Cross from October 2019 to October 2021, a Volunteer at St. Petersburg Free Clinic from October 2019 to October 2020, and a Medical Scribe at Scribe Innovations from November 2019 to April 2020. Danielle also worked as a Research Assistant at Innovatis Health from November 2019 to April 2020.

Prior to entering the healthcare field, Danielle worked as a Specimen Processor/Lab Assistant at Unified Women's Healthcare from November 2018 to November 2019. Danielle also gained experience as an Intern at the University of South Florida's Department of Emergency Management from January 2019 to May 2019. Before that, Danielle worked as a Laboratory Technician at Gardner-Gibson, Inc. from February 2018 to November 2018.

Danielle Alston, MMS, OPN-CG has an extensive education history. Danielle obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Medical Science - Anatomy from the University of South Florida in 2019. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from the same university in 2011. In 2010, they completed another Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, General from the University of South Florida.

In addition to their formal education, Danielle Alston has obtained several certifications. Danielle became an Oncology Patient Navigator - Certified Generalist through AONN+ in January 2022. In February 2021, they completed the Wilderness First Responder certification from NOLS Wilderness Medicine. Furthermore, they hold certifications in Clinical Research Coordination (CRC), GCP Social and Behavioral Research Best Practices for Clinical Research, and Good Clinical Practice from CITI Program, all obtained in May 2020.

Danielle Alston has also completed various courses related to emergency management and incident response. These include the Continuity of Operations Awareness Course, Introduction to Continuity of Operations, An Introduction to the National Incident Management System, Fundamentals of Emergency Management, ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incident, ICS-200, Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100, and National Response Framework, An Introduction. These courses were completed through FEMA in January and February 2019.
