Joseph C. Dougherty, PharmD, BCPS, has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical field, currently serving as a Cardiology Preceptor for PGY-1 Residents and Clinical Pharmacist on the Renal Transplant Team at Stony Brook Medicine since January 2002. A graduate of the University of Florida with a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Cum Laude), Joseph has a strong focus on drug information provision, medication reconciliation, and monitoring drug interactions in a 600-bed tertiary care hospital. Additionally, Joseph works part-time at Southampton Hospital, offering drug therapy management and support for physicians and nursing staff. Previous roles include providing pharmacy services at NSLIJ Plainview Hospital and serving as a Clinical Pharmacist in Critical Care at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, where involvement in chemotherapy and formulary development was emphasized. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from St. John's University.
