Usman Rahim is an experienced professional in energy, carbon management, and data analytics, currently serving as Principal Energy and Carbon and Global Category Specialist - Chemicals & Raw Materials at South32 since November 2021. Usman has held senior positions, including Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst and MServ Consultant - Data Analytics at Management Controls, Inc. from October 2019 to November 2021, and Energy Technology Consultant at Rio Tinto for a brief period in 2019. Prior experience also includes a research role at Murdoch University and an academic position as Assistant Professor at the University of the Punjab. Usman Rahim holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Curtin University and both an MPhil in Environmental Science and an MTech in Coal Technology from the University of the Punjab.
