Lis Boczek is an experienced engineering professional with a comprehensive background in geotechnical engineering, tailings management, and waste management. Currently serving as Senior Manager Tailings Stewardship and Lead Technical Governance Tailings at South32 since July 2022, Lis has held various engineering roles since the early 1990s, including Principal Engineer and Senior Associate Engineer at ATC Williams from March 2006 to July 2022. Previous positions include Project Engineer at Brisbane City Council and Geotechnical Engineer roles at AECOM, Coffey International Ltd, and Atkins. Lis holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering from Queensland University of Technology, earned in 1998.
