Erwin Schaufler has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Erwin began their career in 2000 as an Analyst at Horvath & Partner. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as an SAP APO/ Supply Chain Consultant at KPMG Consulting. Erwin then became self-employed as a Supply Chain Management Consultant from 2003 to 2007.

In 2007, Erwin joined BHP Billiton where they held various managerial positions in distribution and process lead marketing until 2012. Erwin then moved to BHP Billiton as a Manager Distribution, Aluminium & Nickel. In 2013, they took on the role of a Manager Distribution - Aluminium, Manganese & Nickel.

In 2015, Erwin joined South32 as the General Manager Marketing, Carbon Steel and Energy. Erwin later became the Operations Manager and General Manager Operations at Worsley Alumina until 2021. Currently, they serve as the Vice President Operations at Worsley Alumina for South32. Finally, Erwin completed the GAICD program at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, which they finished in 2020.
