Benya Wang is a Specialist Machine Learning Engineer and Specialist Data Scientist at South32 since January 2022, following a role as a Data Scientist at Rio Tinto from February 2019 to January 2022, where experience included processing large datasets using AWS Glue, S3, and Athena. Prior to this, Benya Wang held the position of Graduate Data Scientist and completed a Data Science Internship at Rio Tinto in early 2018. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering from The University of Western Australia, a Visiting Student experience in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Resource and Environment from Zhejiang University, and a Visiting Student program in Soil Sciences at National Chung Hsing University.
