Richard Davis is an experienced professional in climate strategy and business development, currently serving as Associate Director - Climate Strategies at South Pole since July 2023. Prior to this role, Richard was a Senior Business Development Manager at EcoAct, contributing to climate consultancy efforts from April 2022 to June 2023. Richard also worked as Strategy Manager at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), focusing on the £5bn Project Gigabit initiative between February 2021 and April 2022. From February 2014 to September 2020, Richard held the position of Commercial Director at Merkle, where notable achievements included generating over £4.5m in new business revenue and leading strategic initiatives. Earlier roles include Commercial Lead and Business Development Manager at Capita. Richard holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy & Politics from the University of Sussex and studied at Charles University as part of an Erasmus program. Awards include the Merkle EMEA Award for Excellence in Growth and recognition as the Diversity & Inclusion Pillar Lead for Mental Health.
