Mary Opel possesses extensive experience in construction and project management, currently serving as the Director of Site Development at South Orange County Community College District since April 2013. Prior roles include Construction Manager at the same institution, CEO at Faris Construction from July 2006 to March 2013, Director of Project Development at UC Irvine from 2002 to 2006, and Project Manager at Disneyland Resort from 1999 to 2002. Career beginnings include positions as Project Engineer at Hensel Phelps Construction Co. from 1996 to 1999 and Field Engineer at AECOM from 1991 to 1996. Mary Opel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from Purdue University between 1986 and 1990.
