Michael Brooks has been working in the creative industry since 1993. Michael founded BAD INK in 1993, and then founded South Magazine in 2005.

Michael Brooks attended Ringling College of Art and Design from 1989 to 1991, where they earned a degree in Graphic Design with a field of study in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management.
