Kara Granato is an experienced public relations and communications professional with a strong background in marketing and community engagement. Currently serving as the Public Information Specialist at South Colonie Central School District since July 2022, Granato previously held similar roles at Capital Region BOCES and the Brain Injury Association of New York State, where responsibilities included developing statewide communication strategies and managing public relations efforts. Granato's prior experience also encompasses directorial and administrative positions at YWCA El Paso del Norte Region and community-focused roles at United Way of El Paso County, highlighting a commitment to promoting organizational goals through effective messaging and community involvement. Granato holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations/Image Management from the State University of New York at Oswego and has furthered education at La Trobe University.
