SCPDC

South Central Planning and Development Commission performs a variety of services to meet the ever changing needs and challenges of its member governments - St Charles, St John, St James, Assumption, Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes and the six municipalities contained within. These services include long range planning, state and federal liaison, current issues, membership services and services to business and citizens. We also house the Houma -Thibodaux MPO and do transportation planning in all six of our parishes. In all, South Central Planning is a diverse, ever changing Commission serving many different constituencies - made specially for (and by) local governments in the South Central Region of Louisiana.

Houma-Thibodaux Metropolitan Planning Organization

The Houma-Thibodaux Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is responsible for comprehensive transportation planning in the Houma-Thibodaux region. Members of the MPO include local government officials as well as representatives from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development,  the Federal Highway Administration, and the Federal Transit Association.
