Chelsea Levy has over a decade of experience in planning and project development within public transit agencies. Currently serving as the Acting Executive Director of Planning, Environment and Project Development at Sound Transit since June 2012, Chelsea has held various key roles including Deputy Executive Director of Capital Project Development and Director of High Capacity Transit Development for the South Corridor. Prior experience includes urban planning roles at Pierce Transit and the City of Tacoma, and a position as Metropolitan Development Director at the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber. Chelsea began their career as a Graduate Fellow/Intern in urban design at the City of Seattle and as Special Projects Coordinator at the Washington Forest Law Center. Chelsea earned a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Washington, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Lewis & Clark College.
