Olaf Kievit has extensive experience in science education, specializing in chemistry and physics, with a career spanning over two decades. Since August 2014, Olaf has been a Teacher at Sotogrande International School, where responsibilities include teaching Chemistry, Physics, and Theory of Knowledge (TOK), serving as Mindfulness Coordinator, and supervising the World Studies extended essay. Prior to this role, instruction was provided at St Catherine's School from 2006 to 2014, focusing on Year 7-13 Chemistry and leading various initiatives, such as Thinking Skills and Able Child coordination. Olaf's teaching experience also includes roles at Miss Porter's School and The Wardlaw-Hartridge School, contributing to curriculum development and student mentoring. Olaf holds a PhD in Chemistry from Yale University and a Master's degree from Radboud University.
