Staffan Ekengren is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Director at SOS Alarm since August 2020. In this role, Staffan oversees public relations, crisis communication, internal communications, and marketing, managing a team of ten and actively contributing to the Executive Management Team. Prior to this, Staffan held key positions at Scania Group as the Head of Scania Newsdesk, where significant growth in digital engagement was achieved, and at ICA Gruppen as the Head of Media Relations, leading crisis management during major PR challenges. Staffan's expertise also encompasses freelance writing and photography, with three published books, and early career experiences include positions at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency and Smålandsposten. Staffan holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Umeå University.
