Shantee Maggie Baker is an accomplished Artistic Director at MAHA Foundation USA since January 1991, embodying the roles of a Mother, Artist, Healer, and Activist. Currently serving as a member of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and as a Legislative Action representative for Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc., Shantee is also the Secretary for 1000 Mothers to Prevent Violence. Previously, Shantee taught Physical Education, Health, Dance, Drama, and ESL at the Oakland Unified School District for over two decades and contributed as a Wellness Champion funded by Kaiser Permanente. With a diverse background in legal administration and an extensive educational foundation, including a Master of Arts in Dance from Mills College, Shantee is dedicated to promoting wellness and sustainability in various communities.
