At Red Hat, Alex was a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, building an open source automated data profiling tool, architecting Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration methodologies, architecting automation, unit testing, and data quality tools and framework, designing standards for Data Vault, data mart, and staging warehousing methodology, developing and architecting a multi-tiered data warehouse, implementing a new ETL stack, promoting open source software, and establishing best practices and standards.
At RTP Pentaho User Group, Alex was a Pentaho Community Leader.
Alex Meadows, CBIP, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Chowan University between 2002 and 2006. Alex then obtained a Master of Science in Business Intelligence from Saint Joseph's University between 2009 and 2010. In 2011, they obtained a Herald Level Dungeons and Dragons Game Master certification from DCI. In 2018, they obtained a Certified Business Intelligence Professional, Data Analysis and Design certification from the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals, as well as a Certified Business Intelligence Professional, Data Integration certification from the same institution.
