Alex Meadows, CBIP is an experienced data engineer, having held roles at Sorcero, Quattr Inc., Shepherd, Advance Auto Parts, Syngenta, Wake Technical Community College, CSpring, Red Hat, and RTP Pentaho User Group.

At Sorcero, Alex is a Senior Data Engineer. At Quattr Inc., Alex is a Principal Data Engineer. At Shepherd, Alex is a Lead Data Engineer, where they designed and built the backend for an application designed to manage farm work digitally, designed and implemented a universal semantic-based data commons, integrated third party ontologies, designed and built data migrations, and designed and built a multi-tiered data lake.

At TDWI Carolinas Chapter, Alex was a Program Coordinator, working with the community to find top notch presenters for meetings and working with the board to plan, schedule, and run regular meetings. At Advance Auto Parts, Alex was a Senior Data Engineer. At Syngenta, Alex was a Lead Data Engineer and Data Modeller. At Wake Technical Community College, Alex was an Adjunct Professor of Business Analytics and a member of the Business Analytics Department Advisory Committee.

At CSpring, Alex was a Principal Consultant, working on implementing graph, semantic web, and other NoSQL technologies, building ontological models, building ETL/data integration processes, providing guidance on best practices on data visualizations, and coaching teams on agile and continuous integration best practices. At Red Hat, Alex was a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, building an open source automated data profiling tool, architecting Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration methodologies, architecting automation, unit testing, and data quality tools and framework, designing standards for Data Vault, data mart, and staging warehousing methodology, developing and architecting a multi-tiered data warehouse, implementing a new ETL stack, promoting open source software, and establishing best practices and standards.

At RTP Pentaho User Group, Alex was a Pentaho Community Leader.

Alex Meadows, CBIP, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Chowan University between 2002 and 2006. Alex then obtained a Master of Science in Business Intelligence from Saint Joseph's University between 2009 and 2010. In 2011, they obtained a Herald Level Dungeons and Dragons Game Master certification from DCI. In 2018, they obtained a Certified Business Intelligence Professional, Data Analysis and Design certification from the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals, as well as a Certified Business Intelligence Professional, Data Integration certification from the same institution.
