Aku Sorainen serves as a member of the Management Board at Open Estonian Foundation and as a member of the Board of Advisors at Crespect. Sorainen is a Senior Partner at Sorainen, a leading regional law firm with offices in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Belarus, a position held since September 1995. Additionally, Sorainen contributed to Education First NGO in Estonia as a member of the Supervisory Board from July 2018 to December 2021 and was a member of the supervisory board at the University of Tartu from January 2012 to December 2016. Educational qualifications include an LLM in Law from the University of Lapland, a certificate in law firm management from Harvard Law School, a certificate in International Trade Law from Riga Graduate School of Law, and summer courses at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, along with high school graduations from Helsingin I Normaalikoulu and Jefferson High School in Lakewood, Colorado.
