Ruwan Kodikara is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in corporate communications. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications, International at Sony Music Entertainment since June 2020, Ruwan has previously held the position of VP, Corporate Communications, International. Ruwan is also a Council Member at the University of Nottingham for the year 2023, contributing to the governance and strategic oversight of the institution. Prior to Sony, Ruwan worked at Amazon UK as Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, leading various initiatives including CEO communications and social responsibility programs. Earlier experience includes serving as Head of Media for the Deputy Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street and as a Corporate Affairs Consultant for various strategic communications firms. The career began as a Press Assistant for the Liberal Democrats in 2000, and Ruwan holds a Bachelor of Arts in European Politics from the University of Nottingham, supplemented by education at Tiffin School.
