Tracy Matray has a diverse background in the biotechnology industry. Tracy worked as the Vice President of R&D and Technology at Sony Biotechnology Inc. from October 2011 to the present. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Oligonucleotide Chemistry at Marina Biotech, Inc. from July 2010 to October 2011. Tracy also worked at Dynavax as the Associate Director of Chemistry from November 2004 to June 2010, where they developed novel oligo-based therapeutics for allergy treatment and created hybridization-based assays for drug quantitation. Tracy gained experience as a Principal Scientist at Aclara Biosciences from March 2000 to September 2004. Tracy's early career included roles as a Scientist at Geron from September 1998 to March 2000, where they designed and synthesized ribo variants of oligos, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Rochester from May 1997 to September 1998, where they investigated DNA duplex stability and DNA replication.
Tracy Matray holds a PhD in Chemistry, which they obtained from Colorado State University from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Santa Clara University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from 1987 to 1991.
