Paul Cummings has over 15 years of work experience in the field service industry. Paul started their career at UPS as a Package Handler, where they excelled and received the "Employee of the Month" award twice. In 2007, they joined Cytopeia as a Test Technician, where they were responsible for testing, building, and packaging the influx product. Paul implemented a more efficient and safe packaging system, working closely with machine shop employees, engineers, and the packaging supervisor. In 2008, Paul joined BD as a BD Biosciences Test Technician III, where they conducted testing on the Influx instrument, troubleshooted electrical, fluidics, and software-related issues, and collaborated with R&D and engineering on validating new components. Paul later transitioned to the role of Field Service Engineer, traveling to customer sites and installing or servicing BD instruments. Paul worked directly with customers to ensure complete satisfaction and collaborated with R&D and engineering on design issues. In 2016, Paul joined Sony Biotechnology Inc. as a Field Service Engineer and was promoted to the role of Field Service Engineer Supervisor in 2020.

Paul Cummings completed their Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Physical Sciences at Bellevue College from 2005 to 2008. In addition, they obtained a certification in "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn in April 2022.
