Jonathan Cooper has extensive experience in veteran advocacy and community service, holding numerous leadership positions within the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Department of Illinois since September 2009, including District 3 Commander and Post Commander for multiple posts. Jonathan has been recognized as an All-State Post Commander for two consecutive terms and actively recruits members to enhance the organization's efforts on behalf of veterans. In addition to roles within the VFW, Jonathan serves as Chapter President for several honor societies and holds posts in local government, including Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the Village of Hazel Crest, IL. Jonathan is a retired member of the U.S. Army and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History at Governors State University.
