Stephanie Sklar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and development within environmental organizations. Currently serving as the CEO of the Sonoran Institute since October 2014, Sklar previously held the role of Director of Development at the University of Arizona's Institute of the Environment from December 2010 to October 2014, where responsibilities included overseeing all fund development activities. Additional leadership roles include serving as Executive Director for Social Venture Partners Greater Tucson, the Arizona League of Conservation Voters, and Executive VP for SACASA. Earlier in their career, Sklar was the VP of Public Affairs for the National Wildlife Federation. Educationally, Sklar holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Brown University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Vassar College.
