Mohamed Salama, MD CPE, is an experienced medical executive currently serving as Chief Medical Officer at Sonic Healthcare USA since 2022. Previously, Mohamed held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Mayo Clinic Laboratories from November 2019 to January 2022 and served as Senior Associate Consultant at Mayo Clinic Rochester during the same period. Additionally, Mohamed was a Professor at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine from January 2018 to January 2022 and a Professor at the University of Utah from June 2006 to January 2018, where Mohamed also functioned as Medical Director, Chief of Hematopathology, and Vice President at ARUP Laboratories. Mohamed earned an MD in Medicine from Cairo University and completed a coursework in Artificial Intelligence: Business Strategies and Applications at the University of California, Berkeley in 2020.
