Philippa Macken is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and public relations strategies. Since January 2011, Philippa has served as the Director of Media and Communications at Destination Canada, focusing on promoting Canadian tourism to Australian travelers through various initiatives including PR strategies, copywriting, and event management. Additionally, Philippa has held roles such as Senior Writer at Destination Canada, Creative Copywriter for Sonic Healthcare, and Director of Media Public Relations for both the Government of Yukon and Travel Manitoba. Philippa's expertise extends to technical writing as a Specialist Technical Writer for AECOM and includes a background in account management at PROFESSIONAL PUBLIC RELATIONS. An educator as well, Philippa tutors English and creative writing, and authored a children's picture book published in 2015. Philippa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Journalism from the University of Canberra, along with various other educational credentials.
