Jun Wang, PhD, SMB(ASCP), HCLD(ABB), currently serves as the Lead Molecular Genomic Specialist at Sonic Healthcare, where responsibilities include developing and launching a Molecular & Genomic NGS laboratory and implementing automated library preparation workflows. Prior experience includes roles as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist at the University of Rochester Medical Center, contributing to IVD assay development, and as a Staff Scientist in the Department of Ophthalmology, focusing on mouse genetic approaches to study sensory and neural development. Earlier positions include Postdoctoral Research Associate and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Rochester, where research centered on therapeutic targets for gliomas and the relationship between cell-of-origin and glioma characteristics. Jun Wang's foundational experience in quality control at Taiji Pharmaceutical Co., LTD further complements a robust background in molecular diagnostics and genetic research.
