Egon Okerman is an experienced Application Security Researcher at Sonar since September 2022. Prior to this role, Egon served as a Research Software Engineer at THEO Technologies from October 2017 to August 2022, where technical leadership was demonstrated on the Live-G imec. icon research project, focusing on adapting the HESP protocol for low latency video distribution over 5G networks. Earlier experiences at THEO Technologies include software engineering internships in which MPEG-DASH playback support was implemented for the Google Chromecast platform and a payment processor integration for the OpenTelly management platform. Egon holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from both KU Leuven and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from KU Leuven.
