Soma Dixon has worked in the software quality engineering field since 2010. Soma began their career as a Software Quality Engineer at NCR Corporation in 2010. In 2014, they moved to HotSchedules as a Senior Quality Engineer, where they automated 100% of API validation tests using Postman, JavaScript, and Chai.js, identified multiple defects to prevent operational downtime of a multi-billion dollar QSR, wrote automation code using Java, NetBeans and Selenium Webdriver, to test mobile applications, validated mobile application data by writing complex SQL queries, developed comprehensive test plans for sprint regression, integration, and end-to-end testing, performed requirements analysis with flow charting and truth tables to guide testing efforts, designed and executed complex, manual test cases applying best-in-class methods, mastered a broad range of complex hospitality and retail application functions and solutions covering forecasting, supply chain, cash management and labor, led Agile ceremonies as scrum master/QA engineer for a global software development team, and was the senior QA engineer/team lead of a four-person QA team. In 2021, they joined Sonar as a QA Lead.

Soma Dixon holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Soma has also obtained several certifications, including End-to-End JavaScript Testing with Cypress.io from LinkedIn in June 2021, Cybersecurity Awareness Training from ESET North America in May 2021, Postman Essential Training from LinkedIn in July 2020, Java 11+ Essential Training from LinkedIn in March 2020, JMeter: Performance and Load Testing from LinkedIn in September 2019, and Python Automation and Testing from LinkedIn in February 2019.
