Pete Gough is an accomplished scientist with a focus on cellular turnover and its implications for health and disease. Currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at Nimble Therapeutics since November 2022 and as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Sonata Therapeutics since May 2023, Pete has previously held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Inzen Therapeutics, where efforts were directed toward developing innovative therapies for cancer and other diseases by manipulating cellular turnover. Additionally, Pete's extensive experience at GSK spanned nearly 16 years in various senior leadership roles in the Infectious Diseases Therapy Area, contributing significantly to research in HBV and inflammation. Pete began an academic career at the University of Washington as a Research Assistant Professor after earning a D. Phil. in Molecular Pathology and a BA in Physiological Sciences from the University of Oxford.
