Gijs Groen is a seasoned professional in the sustainability and construction sectors, currently serving as the Sustainability Manager EMEA at Solmax since January 2021, focusing on pioneering sustainable construction materials. Prior to this role, Gijs held various commercial and sales management positions across multiple companies, including Commercial Director for several regions and Sales Manager, where responsibilities included leading teams, driving sales activities, and developing solutions for clients. Gijs has also gained entrepreneurial experience through founding Green Breeze, specializing in energy-saving ventilation systems. Educationally, Gijs is pursuing an MBA in Sustainability Studies at the University of Groningen Business School and holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Additional qualifications include a Post-HBO in Business Administration and experiences at several other organizations in engineering and sales capacities.
