Derek Fougère, CFS, is an experienced food scientist with a strong background in product development and commercialization. Currently serving as Senior Food Technologist at Solina USA since February 2020, Fougère previously held the position of Lead Food Scientist at Kagome USA, Inc. from August 2015 to January 2020. Other notable roles include Project Manager at Boyer Heating & Air Co., Food Scientist & Co-Packing Manager at Mad Will's Food Company, and Food Technologist at United Foods International, Inc. Fougère's earlier experience includes working as a Quality Assurance/Control Lab Technician at Firestone Walker Brewing Company and as a Research and Development Assistant at Cal Poly State University. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, Fougère holds a B.S. in Food Science, Culinary Arts & Biotechnology, completed in 2011.
