Lyan Tjeerdsma is currently an organizing committee member for Race of the Classics, starting September 2023. Lyan has extensive experience in the hospitality and sports sectors, with roles at Zeil- en Surfschool Neptunus since June 2016 as an examiner, trainer, coach, instructor, and business leader. Lyan has worked in hospitality at SOLID and Young Uitzenden since May 2022 and September 2021 respectively. Additionally, Lyan served as chairman of Team Zeilers from September 2022 to September 2023 and was an instructor for Optimist on Tour from February 2019 to December 2021. Previous positions include hostess at GoodDay Hospitality Services bv, warehouse worker at Van Dijk Boeken, and cashier at Jumbo Supermarkten. Lyan is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies at the University of Groningen, with studies ongoing since 2019, and holds a degree from Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen obtained in 2022. Education was initiated at Ichthus College Kampen, completing Havo in 2017.
