Steven Hernandez has over 15 years of work experience. Steven began their career in 2003 as a Logistician at the United States Transportation Command. In 2013, they became a Transportation Management Supervisor at the United States Army Reserve. From 2014 to 2018, they held the role of Senior Movements Adviser at USCENTCOM. In 2018, they held two concurrent roles: Senior Software Engineer/Database Administrator at Preferred Systems Solutions and Logistician at USCENTCOM. In 2009, they began working at General Dynamics Information Technology in the roles of Senior Systems Administrator/Senior Data Integration Engineer, Senior Informatica Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) Developer, and Transportation Analyst and Technical Lead.

Steven Hernandez obtained a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from McKendree University between 2009 and 2012, with a field of study in Computer Science. Prior to that, they obtained an A.A.S. in Database Development and Management from Southwestern Illinois College between 2006 and 2010, also with a field of study in Computer Science. In addition, they obtained a CompTIA Network+ certification in February 2012, a CompTIA Security+ certification in November 2012, and a RedHat Certified System Administrator certification in August 2018. Steven also holds a Minister certification from the Universal Life Church.
