Jonathan Ridley has extensive experience in academic leadership, currently serving as Associate Provost (Academic Strategy) at Solent University since November 2010, where responsibilities include managing the university's academic strategy, the South Coast Institute of Technology, and specialist facilities. Prior to this role, Jonathan held positions as Head of Engineering overseeing Engineering and Yacht Engineering programmes and as Principal Lecturer at Warsash Maritime Academy. Earlier career roles include Senior Lecturer at QinetiQ and DERA and Naval Architect. Jonathan holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from Solent University and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Yacht and Powercraft Design. Additionally, Jonathan has been recognized as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since November 2022.
