Dr. Paul Summers is an experienced academic and management professional with a strong background in project management and operations. Currently serving as Associate Head of the Department of Business & Law at Solent University since September 2014, Dr. Summers also holds roles as Program Director and Course Leader for Project Management, along with teaching responsibilities in strategy and business. Previous academic positions include Senior Lecturer in Project & Operations Management at the University of Winchester and Teaching Fellow at the University of Portsmouth. In local government, Dr. Summers achieved significant cost savings as Corporate Programme Manager for Portsmouth City Council by establishing a Project Management Office (PMO) and providing project management guidance. Early career highlights include running a professional photography business and serving as District Supervisor for Ladbroke Racing. Dr. Summers holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Systems Thinking and reflective practice, alongside a Master's degree in Business with Computer Studies and a PGCTLHE qualification in teaching and learning.
