Shu Takeoka currently serves as Deputy General Manager in the Energy Solutions department at Sojitz Corporation, a position held since January 2025. Prior to this, Shu was Vice President at Sojitz Energy Services LLC, focusing on business development for energy transition initiatives from February 2023 to January 2025. Shu also held the role of Vice President & General Manager at Sojitz Corporation of America, Inc., managing the Energy and Infrastructure Department in the US from September 2018 to January 2025, and previously worked in various capacities including Assistant Director and Senior Manager in M&A and investment within the energy sector. Shu’s earlier experience at Sojitz Corporation included roles as Assistant Manager for IPP development in the Americas and Team Leader for significant projects in the Middle East. Shu began a career in trading precious metals at TOCOM and NYMEX/COMEX and holds a degree from Waseda University and studied at Corvinus University of Budapest.
