Jorge Mario Salazar Rios is a Data Scientist and AI Consultant currently working at SoftServe, where responsibilities include providing expert consultancy in General Artificial Intelligence and leading technical projects. Previously, at Endava, Jorge designed and implemented a chatbot powered by a large language model for real-time information retrieval. As a Freelance Data Scientist, Jorge developed a risk score model to identify at-risk students, achieving high recall and precision metrics. Jorge also led a technical team at Universidad de Manizales - DataLab, enhancing customer experience through machine learning solutions, and served as a Postdoctoral Researcher, designing AI courses and communicating complex scientific ideas. Jorge holds a PhD in Applied Physics from the University of Groningen, where significant achievements included coordinating international research collaborations and advancing carbon nanotube technology. Additional degrees include a Master of Science in Nanoscience and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics.
